It all began on a Monday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale, February 21, 2022. Through the modern magic of online dating, two profiles became one conversation — and within minutes of meeting in person, Mateja and Ryan both felt it: a spark unlike anything they had ever experienced before. Conversations flowed effortlessly, laughter came naturally, and it quickly became clear that this wasn’t just another first date — it was the beginning of something extraordinary.
Though Ryan lived in Deerfield Beach and Mateja in Fort Lauderdale, distance never stood in the way. Nights were often spent driving back and forth just to steal a little more time together, until 10 months later, it only made sense to officially share a home. By then, they were already inseparable.
In their time together, they’ve shared adventures that range from the unforgettable to the unpredictable — delayed flights, tow trucks on vacation, and even a bout of food poisoning in Italy. But every mishap has only added another chapter to their story, turning into memories they laugh about and cherish, always reminding them that joy is found not in perfection, but in experiencing life side by side.
In April of 2024, Ryan proposed, and the two began dreaming of a celebration as magical as their journey together. A Disney wedding felt like the perfect way to honor their fairytale love story — and to gather friends and family from near and far for the most enchanting chapter yet.
